Brokenhead Ojibway Nation’s Development Corp. is seeking an experienced Retail Manager to lead and oversee the operations of a retail business. The Retail Manager will be responsible for ensuring efficient day-to-day operations, providing exceptional customer service, and driving the overall success of the business. We are looking for a strong leader with a solid background in retail management who can bring innovative solutions and foster a positive team culture.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily retail operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
  • Lead, manage, and motivate staff, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Ensure high standards of customer service and quickly resolve customer issues.
  • Develop and implement merchandising strategies to maximize sales and profitability.
  • Monitor inventory levels, manage stock replenishment, and coordinate with suppliers.
  • Ensure store cleanliness and adherence to health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze sales performance and identify opportunities for improvement and cost control.
  • Oversee cash handling, POS systems, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
  • Prepare regular performance and operational reports for management.
  • Perform administrative tasks and manage special projects as required.

Experience and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Retail Manager or in a similar leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of retail operations, inventory management, and merchandising strategies.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to coach and motivate staff.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with POS systems and MS Office applications.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • High school diploma; additional education in business, retail management, or related fields is an asset.
